I’ve been waiting all year for the nostalgia of fall and finally, the time is here. Something about chilly mornings and rainfall brings me back to being a little girl. A time when my older sisters were all out of the house and my only company were characters from my favorite TV shows, Tia and Tamera, Topanga and Corey, Uncle Bernie, – the whole gang. Some days, the fall nostalgia makes me miss that version of me, others, I find it forces me to rewatch Desperate Housewives with a clean slate ready to judge the ladies of Wisteria Lane. I mean, who would I be, at 30, if Gabrielle Solis and Edie Brit hadn’t influenced my self-confidence? Let’s be serious here.
Well if you’re anything like me, and you love a good nostalgic binge, I have the perfect list for you. From 90’s sitcoms to painfully “cringey” vampire movies you can’t get enough of 15 years later, here’s your ultimate watchlist.
Your Nostalgic Watchlist
Everything about fall screams "core memories" the colors, the scents, the food, the holidays. Here's a watchlist to fuel your nostalgia.
Murder for hire, Pregnancy at 40, breakups & affairs, It's always something going down on Wisteria Lane.
I don't think I'll ever live to see a better spinoff. Heeeeeyyyyy Professor Oglevee!
This is in my top 5 favorite sitcoms of all time. If you catch me at any given moment, I'm sure Tia and Tamera are playing in the background. Still mad that I came out on my own and not with a twin sister. lol
One question, Six words: Blue French Horn or Yellow Umbrella?
I hate that we live in a world without Bernie Mac. This show was so ahead of its time, rewatching as an adult is 10 times funnier.
Unpopular Opinion? Damon Wayans is the FUNNIEST Wayans brother. Can't wait to watch his new show but for now, love me some Michael Kyle.
You can not tell me this wasn't a black show. I won't explain further.
In a 90's kind of world, I'm glad I got my GIRLS! They just don't make TV like this anymore, I miss ensemble casts and twenty episodes per season.
If you had an older sister, chances are, you watched more than a few episodes of Daria. Na, Na, Na, Na, Na
The 2000s were a weird place!
Alexa, Play Lowrider.
A single mom, who works two jobs, who loves her kids & NEVER STOPS. Y'all don't know Reba like I know Reba
My biggest secret is that I used to tell people that Raven was my sister growing up. I didn't stop until I turned 16 and couldn't explain why she wasn't at my party. If could gaze into the future... things would've been different lol
I usually reserve my Full House rewatch for winter but it didn't feel right to leave it out. Uncle Jesse is fine to this day!
& The award for best theme song goes to..
Hearing 'The Wayan's Brother' lore, during the Shannon Sharpe interview with Marlon, made me appreciate this one so much more.
I absolutely adore this show. If I were a Hollywood executive I'd be going to the earth's end to create a black version. Boy Meets World is truly an underrated gem.
In today's climate, it's a must you add this to your rewatch list.
Y’all the nostalgia is real! Honestly, scrolling through all those shows made me realize that the best part of 90’s/00’s tv was the theme songs! We were robbed the moment we lost UPN and they started looping Baby Boy on BET. Thankfully, we have streaming services to bring us back to life and back to reality. Which show are you adding to your watchlist?
